SPORTING WESTLAND R.C. SEEKS DECEMBER DATE FOR RACING
Application is 4o be made by the Westland Racing Club to the New Zealand Racing Conference for permission to hold a meeting on December 18, instead of the usual January meeting. This decision was reached at a meeting of the club on Thursday evening. A suggestion that a hurdle race be held at race meetings in Hokitika was discussed but was left for future consideration. The Automobile Association offered the club the opportunity of purchasing the huts at the Hokitika racecourse, leaving the running of the motor camp in the hand of the club. This proposal is to be further considered.
