BERLINERS WORK TO AID AIR-LIFT

Fifteen thousand Berliners, nearly half of them women, working with shovels, brooms and even bare hands, finished work on the runway at the new aerodrome at Tegel, which will be used to bring more supplies into the city. The aerodrome will probably be in use by the middle of December.
