GRAZIANI BLAMES BRITAIN FOR RUIN OF ITALY
(Rec. 11.45 a.m.) ROME, Oct. 14. Red in the lace and shouting at the top of his voice Marshal Graziani told-the court trying him on war crimes charges: “I did not particularly , like the Germans but I would never have gone with the British because I hated them. I still hate them today and w’ill always hate them for havingbeen the ruin of Italy.” Marshal Graziani said he considered the real destroyers of Italy were the British. It was not the partisans who saved northern Italy from Hitler’s scorched earth policy, but Mussolini himself.
