Programme For Second Day’s Trotting
Unlucky runners at their most recent starts—Make Believe (at Mcthvcn) and Minoru (last week at Forbury Park)—may dispute favouritism in the President’s Handicap, the main event on the second day of the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s spring meeting tomorrow. Make Believe finished brilliantly from a long way back into, fourth place in the Methven Cup, and even from 36 yards behind tomorrow the Casanova gelding appears to have a great chance. Minoru was unlucky last week in losing ground at the start and then he. fought on solidlv in the straight to be beaten by only Mountain Hall.
■ A new recruit to this company, Seacraft, has won his last two races in most attractive style, and will also be. in demand if he is started here, but he claims another engagement in a slower class. His last two victories have .been accomplished without pressure. ' Dragoman may be improved by his race last .week and he is likely to be prominent again. He was third in the corresponding race last week. ' Best chances appear to be held by • Make Believe, Minoru,- and Seacraft. • ‘ The form horses are as follows: — ■ Tahuna Handicap. — Tatsydale,
Single Task, Merryman. St Kilda Handicap.—Jan. Marie, Tautuku, Black Diamond. Domain'’ Handicap.—West Point, Whipster.' Double Dillon. President’s, Handicap.—Make Believe, Minoru, Seacraft.
