“Miss New Zealand (Miss Mary Wbotton) had been a wonderful ambassador for the Dominion when she visited America, said Mr A. Lexington Jones, of Christchurch, who returned recently from a trip to America. “Although I did not meet ‘Miss New Zealand’ many people commented on her simplicity and sincerity. Her broadcasts were very well received in America, and she left much goodwill behind her.”
