Auckland 10-year Plan
He did not want to discuss at present details of the 10-year development plan for Auckland “for an obvious reason,” but a sum of £200,000 would be placed on the Supplementary Estimates, said the Minister of Works (Mr R. Semple), replying to Mr D. M. Rae (Opposition, Parnell) in the House of Representatives yesterday. ‘‘Ah! That’s good to hear,” commented Mr R. M. Algie (Opposition, Remuera). Mr Semple said there were certain things which had to be done to safeguard the Crown against “ground sharks.”—(P.A,)
