DESTRUCTION OF COMMUNIST GANGS IN MALAYA
(Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 10. It was only a matter of time before the Communist gangs in Malaya were destroyed, said Mr Malcolm MacDonald, Commissioner-General in Southeast Asia, when he arrived in London by air today. He will be available to participate in the Com'monwealth Prime Ministers’ conference. Mr MacDonald said the Communist campaign in Malaya was not representative of the peoples of Malaya. On the contrary, almost all tire peoples, including Malayans, Indians and Chinese, were supporting the Government and were strongly hostile to.the Communists, who were entirely recent immigrants of Chinese origin.
