WRESTLING CANTERBURY WINS SHIELD AT AMATEUR TOURNEY
(PA) DUNEDIN, October 8. Canterbury, with four titles, won the Smale-Humphrey Shield for the team securing' the greatest number of first places in the New Zealand amateur wrestling championships which were finished today. Wellington contestants won three titles, and one was gained by South Auckland. The winners in all divisions were:— Heavy-weight.—P. O’connor (Wellington) 1, M. Hartman (West Coast. North Island) 2. Light-heavy-weight. —J. Howard (Canterbury) 1, A, Hollander (Otago) 2. Middle-weight—J. A. Mclnnes (Canterbury) 1, R. Tourell (Otago) 2. ’ Welter-weight.—L. J. Genet (Canterbury) 1, J.
