New Fire Tender For The Reefton Brigade
(0.C.) REEFTON, This Day. The Reef ton Fire Brigade took delivery during the week end of a new heavy-duty motor-driven fire tender. The machine is on permanent loan to the brigade. It is fitted with a powerful engine giving a fourwheel drive. Four-inch heavy duty hose in special lengths for country use has been sent with the tender, which will be of great help in fighting fires in country areas. The new tender is the third motorised unit for the Reefton brigade. An all-steel body, with shelter for the firemen who will use the machine, has been fitted.
