CRICKET ANNUAL MEETING OF RUNANGA CLUB
The annual meeting of the Runanga ; Cricket Club was held on Monday evening, Mr H. Webb presiding over a good attendance. A credit balance of over £4B was shown for the incoming season. Tins was considered most satisfactory in View of the considerable expenditure ( last season on equipment. ' The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr F. Baxendale; president, Mr W. Anderson; secretary, Mr C. Harrison; club captain, Mr W. Roberts; selectors, Messrs A. Vaughan and A. Harrison; Trustees, Messrs J. Deardon , and L. Sadler; committee, | Messrs Jillings, Baxendale, Webb, Smithson, Greening, Anderson, Roberts and Harrison. Delegates to W.C.C.A., Messrs Webb and Vaughan. ' Reference was made to the services rendered the club, both as a player and as club secretary, by Mr J. Baddeley, who has left the district. New members were welcomed, among them being Mr A. Vaughan former Cobden captain. It was decided that Messrs Webb and Anderson attend the next council meeting with a view to obtaining information regarding the use of the Runanga Domain as a playing area. It was decided to await the meeting ; of the West Coast Cricket Association ( before nominatin gteams for the forth- j coming competitions. i
