MacARTHUR MAY WIN WISCONSIN PRIMARY TEST
NEW YORK, April 4. With Wisconsin’s important Republican Presidential primary just two days away, the overpowering v/ai hysteria appears to be swinging this pivotal preconvention, test decisively to General MacArthur, states the New York Times. The only question in most minds is how great his. victory will be. The consensus of opinion is that Mr Harold Stassen, of Minnesota, will finish a strong second, ana Mr Thomas Dewey, Governor of New York, a bad third. The chief reason for the .MacArthur sentiment in Wisconsin seems to be the belief that he is the strong 'man needed in the present world crisis. > General MacArthur is being sold to Wisconsin Republicans as the man v;ho has “proved that he can deal with Joe Stalin.’’
