3000 STATE HOUSES COMPLETED IN LAST 12 MONTHS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A total of 3210 State-built house units was completed in the 12 months ended March 31, the third highest figure achieved by the Housing Construction Department since its inception and the highest since Announcing this, the Minister of Works (Mr Semple) said that in New South Wales, with a greater population than New Zealand, only 6000 houses had been built by the State, compared with 26,531 State house units now tenanted in the Dominion. _
