CYCLING Boys’ Three-mile Road Race Won By D. Ogilvie
The three-mile boys’ road race, conducted by the Greymouth Cycling Club over a course at Cobden yesterday morning, attracted a large number of entries and resulted in a win for D. Ogilvie (40sec), whose time for the distance was Bmin 51sec. D. Boot and K. Morgan,, both off scratch, filled second and third places. Boot secured the fastest time in Bmin 9 l-ssec, with Morgan second m Bmin 9 4-ssec. . , Aggregate points in the boys events to date are: —K. Morgan, .8, D. Boot, 6; J. Mclntyre and D. Ogilvie, 3; and Longley, 1. The Davidson trophy, for the rider gaining the most points in road races conducted by the Greymouth Cycling Club during the season, was won by K. Lalor. The presentation of the trophy was made on Saturday evening bv Mr B. McNamara, on behalt of the donor, Mr J. W. IDavidson.
