SEVEN KILLED IN ELECTION RIOT IN ALGIERS AREA
(Rec. 12.10 p.m.) PARIS, April 4. Seven persons were killed and another was injured in rioting in Algiers as the country voted to elect its first Parliament. Troops were called out to restore order. The de Gaullists have won two seats so far. Under the new statute for the territory Algeria will have a Parliament of 120 members, half elected byFrench residents and the other half by Moslems. The new Parliament will not be independent. It can consider only its own budget and adaptation of French laws to local conditions.
