3000 Emigrants Before Christmas
Travelling by sea and air, new settlers from the United Kingdom will arrive in New Zealand in a steady flow for the next five months, and by Christmas there should be 3000 workers added to New Zealand’s labour force, according to a statement by the Minister of Labour (Mr A. McLagan). More than 2200 emigrants were coming in the next five months, he said. —(P.A.)
