LABOUR FEDERATION OFFICIALS TALK WITH MR FRASER
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A discussion lasting an hour between the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, and the officials of the Federation of Labour in connection with means of resolving the carpenters’ dispute, was completed early this afternoon. After the meeting Mr Fraser said he had undertaken to get in touch with the Minister of Labour, Mr McLagan, and discuss the matter with him. Mr Fraser said the subject would alsp be discussed by the Cabinet on Wednesday, the earliest time a Cabinet meeting could be held. It is reported that representations were made to the Government by. the federation on the lines of decisions reached after the meeting of the National Council of the Federation yesterday. ______________
