Mr T. Evans was a passenger on this morning’s express for Christchurch.
Mr C. Dixon, of the Department of Labour, Greymouth, left by the express this morning on transfer to Dunedin.
Mr P. C. Webb, who recently underwent an operation at Lewisham Hospital, Christchurch, is reported to be progressing favourably. Lieutenant-Commander E. Brown, Chief Surveyor of Ships, and his deputy (Mr V. G. Boivin) will probably represent New Zealand at an international conference to consider safety at sea which will- be held in London from April 23.—(P.A.)
