LEPER CHILDREN ADOPTED BY ROYALTY
LONDON, October 13.
The King and Queen, Princess Elizabeth, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will adopt five leper children, for whose medical care and education they will be responsible for at least two years. This was announced at the world premiere in London of the film “Uncle Silas,” in aid of the British Empire Leprosy Relief Association. A number of similar “adoption” offers came from the audience after the announcement.
