KEEN INTEREST IN CHIFLEY’S BANKING BILL

(Rec. 10 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. Banking officials from all parts of Australia have booked out all the available accommodation *at Canberra for Wednesday night. They are coming here to hear the Prime Minister and Treasurer; Mr Chifley, introduce the bill for the nationalisation of priv&te banks. The heads of the private banks and their advisers will sit in the Speaker’s gallery on the floor of the House of Representatives. Mr Chifley will speak at night to ensure the maximum radio audience throughout Australia. After he has explained the nationalisation Bill he will adjourn the debate until October 22 to give the Opposition an opportunity to study the Bill. The Labour caucus will meet on Thursday to discuss the Bill in detail,
