PROGRESS OF TARIFF TALKS AT GENEVA

(Reed. 2.5 p.m.) GENEVA, October 13.

It; is disclosed that 69 out of a possible 120 two-way tariff agreements have so far been completed. A further 14 are almost completed. All, however, are subject to complete British-American accord. Agreements have been concluded by Brazil with New Zealand, Australia, Czechoslovakia and France; by China with New Zealand, Canada and Cuba; by the United States with the Benelux Union; and by the United Kingdom with Czechoslovakia, Lebanon and the Syrian union. These were the most important of those announced today.
