IP.A.) ROTORUA, September 26. The finals of the New Zealand amateur wrestling championships, which concluded tonight, included some of the brightest bouts .witnessed since the war.
R. ,1-lerstich, of Wellington, won both the light heavy-weight and heavy-weight titles, the heavy-weight with one arm practically useless.
The new title-holders and runnersup are as follows: — Heavy-weight.—R. Herstich (Wellington), W, O’Connor (West Coast, North Island).
Light Heavy-weight.—R. Herstich (■Wellington), B. Walker (Auckland). Middle-weight. — K. Mahoney (Wellington), P. Fletcher (Auckland). Welter-weight.—J.-L. Genet (Canterbury), P. Monahan (Otago). Light-weight.—W. Adams (Wellington), R. Jenkins (West Coast, North Island). Feather-weight.—F. Genet (Canterbury), D. Mudgway (West Coast, North Island).
