COMMERCIAL TEACHERS’ TRAINING COURSE. rpHE Wellington Technical Colx lege at the request of the Education Department is instituting a Training Course for Commercial Teachers, and invites applications for enrolment from persons suitably qualified. Applicants should already have had some experience in office or commercial work.

1. Those with good experience in Shorthand and Typewriting will be given instruction in Bookkeeping and Commercial Practice, and 2. Those with experience in Bookkeeping or Accountancy will be given instruction in Shorthand and Typewriting. All Trainees will be given instruction in teaching method. Male applicants should preferably be between 25 and 30 years of age, and female applicants, between 21 and 30 years. The period of training will extend over one academic year. During the period, trainees will be paid at the following rates: Men, Ji 311 per annum; Women, £277 per annum. In addition married salary of £5O per annum will be paid to trainees eligible to receive it. On completion of the course, it is expected that trainees will find little difficulty in receiving appointments in post - primary schools, or in the secondary departments of district high schools. Full details of conditions, and application forms, may be obtained from the Principal, Wellington Technical College, or from the Director of Education, Education Department, Wellington. Applications should be lodged, as soon as posisble but not later than 31st October, at the Wellington Technical College, and a duplicate copy sent to the Director of Education, Education Department, Wellington.
