GERMAN PRISONERS SET FREE IN FRANCE
(Rec. 2 p.m.) PARIS, September 25.
The 'French Ministry of Labour announced that 85,000 German prisoners of war will be freed to become mining and agricultural labourers. One hundred thousand of the 444,770 prisoners in France have accepted the offer of freedom, but 15,000 were rejected because of technical reasons and their records as Nazis. France is endeavouring to import 300,000 foreign labourers from neighbouring countries, such as Italy.
