_ A report that , the director of nursing services (Miss. Lambie) had indicated that she was prepared to recommend that the Buller Hospital be raised in status to an A grade training school, provided that the chronic type of patient, who had previously been boarded 5 for periods extending into years, be removed to more suitable surroundings, Was made to the Buller Hospital Bodrd at .its meeting this . week. Dr D. R. ®yddr (Medical Superintendent) said , that ■provision was being made tor nursing these patients at Kynnersley 'Ward; The new status will mean tihat nurses will now be able to complete itheir training at Westport, instead-of *oihg to Christchurch' f6i? a dix months’ course.
