Webb Memorial Fund
Exception was taken by members of the Buller County Council this week at the manner in which interest in the P. C. Webb Appreciation Fund had been allowed to lapse and the fear was expressed that it would.be allowed to share the fate of Holland Memorial which seemed to be entirely forgotten.
National Savings Though less than six months of the financial year have elapsed all ten offices in the Westland district have exceeded their annual quotas in National Savings. Offices which obtained their weekly quota last week were Greymouth, Runanga, Kumara, Waiuta, Otira, Reefton, and Blackball. Three offices, Hokitika, Ross and Brunnerton, did not reach their respective quotas but, by means of accumulated surpluses, were credited with quota successes.
