Mrs M. Robertson left today on a visit to Christchurch. Mrs H. Moore and Mrs W. Fisher left today for Christchurch. Mr D. Lloyd, child welfare officer at Greymouth, left today for Invercargill, on sick leave.
Mr R. Dudley, of Christchurch, arrived this morning on a visit to Greymouth..
Mr R. Tansley. manager of the Regent Theatre, Greymouth, will be relieved during his absence on annual leave after tomorrow, by Mr M. O’Neill, of Westport. Mr R. J. Malcolm will take over the temporary management of both Westport theatres.
Mr G. Duggan, acting-chief inspector of mines, is visiting the West Coast. Mr Duggan retired from the department some time ago, but he has returned temporarily in the absence, because of illness, of his successor, Mr R. H. Shoen. - Mr J. Railton (Christchurch), president of the New Zealand Master Grocers’ Federation, Mr R. M. Barker (Auckland), secretary of the federation, Mr E. L.-Burton and Miss E. Burton (Auckland), who have been visiting Greymouth, left today on their return.
