CHOLERA SPREADS AMONG REFUGEES IN THE PUNJAB

NEW DELHI, Sept. 13.

Latest reports from the Punjab say that cholera is spreading in the refugee camps, arid more outbreaks are reported from several widelyscattered points, mostly on the Pakistan side of the frontier, but precise figures are not, yet available. ‘ Anti-cholcra serum has been flown to Karachi, and refugees in the Punjab and in Delhi are being inoculated. ' Mr John Irving, assistant manager of the Chartered Bank of India, Australia, and China, died tonight of bullet wounds inflicted accidentally by military forces firing on looters near the bank. He was born in Edinburgh.
