N,Z. Negotiating For New Dairy Produce Prices

IN.Z.P.A. SPECIAL COP.RESPONDENT]

LONDON, September 2. Negotiations for new dairy produce and meat prices lor the next 12 months which are at present proceeding between New Zealand representatives and the Ministry of Food are expected to conclude at the end of this week. The Danes, and later the Australians, are theft expected to commence similar price talks. At present both Denmark and Canada are receiving substantially higher prices for butter and cheese than New Zealand—at least 25s a hundredweight in the case of Danish butter and 12s a hundredweight in the case of Canadian cheese. Moreover, the Danes, who have had very serious losses as a result of the present drought, have already announced that they will ask for further price increases when they come to London.
