GREEK FORCES LAUNCH ATTACK ON GUERRILLAS

(Rec. 1 p.m.) ATHENS, August 29. A military source stated that , the Greek Third Army Corps launched a full-scale offensive against the guerrillas covering the extensive mountainous area south of the Jugoslav border from the Vardur river valley to Mount Mitsi, west of Florine. Beside clearing the whole area it is hoped to restore Greek guard posts which guerrilla pressure forced back six to 12 miles from the Jugoslav border.
