Future of Pamir
Would the Government continue to operate the barque Pamir or had the vessel’s disposal been considered, asked Mr T. L. Macdonald (Opposition, Wallace) in a notice o£ question to the Minister of Marine (Mr O'Brien) in the House of Representatives yesterday. He asked whether, in the event of the Government continuing to operate the barque, the Pamir would be used as a training ship. Mr Macdonald said the Pamir's eighth voyage had shown a loss ot £17,787.—(P.A.)
