Disclaimer issued
Reuters requests the publication of the following disclaimer, as Major Farran’s solicitors consider' that the messages cabled on August 8 were calculated to prejudice a fair trial: “It was stated in a message from Jerusalem on August 8 that Major Farran, who is being held in connection with the disappearance of a Jewish youth, had been extradited from Syria for questioning. We are instructed by Farran’s solicitors that Farran was not extradited from Syria, but returned from there en- > tirely of his own free will, having reported to the British Consulate in Damascus on his first arrival there.” —London, Aug. 12.
