French Imports of Ammonia
To prevent another explosion such as occurred in the nitrate ship Ocean Liberty at Brest on July 28, the French Government has decided that ammonia imported into France must in future be loaded into barges outside ports and deposited in open areas on land. —Paris, August 4. Auckland Power Restrictions A decision to allow the continuous use of water-heaters from today and to restrict the use of radiators between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. was made at a meeting of the Auckland Electric Power Board.—(P.A.)
