The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon to-day:— Situation: A depression north-east of the North Island is moving away; an anti-cyclone is over the south Tasman Sea and extends across the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Moderate winds from an easterly quarter; weather fine and cool. Further outlook: Fair to fine. LOCAL RECORDINGS The following are the recordings taken at Greymouth at 9 a.m. today:— Barometer . 30.27 in (1025 millibars) Thermometer 44deg. Wind Easterly (light breeze) Sky Blue Bar Moderate swell Rainfall Nil Rainfall to date 13in Sunshine yesterday 10.3 hr Sunshine since March 28 .. 114.5 hr The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was. 18ft 9in.
