THE KING MEETS ZULU CHIEFS AFTER WAR DANCE
CAPETOWN, March 20. His Majesiy in an address to Zulus after a war dance at Eshow, thanked the warriors who had fought in two world wars. He expressed gratitude for the loyal words of welcome which the Royal family knew might be expected in a land where the name, Victoria, was still revered. '.His Majesty hoped that peace would bring prosperity to. Zulu-land. After the speech the senior chiefs received commemorative tokens. The Royal party, later at Durban, received a welcome from 500,000 people, Ihe biggest crowd in Durban’s history. Over 1000 spent the night in the city gardens in order to secure places. His MajestjT replying to an address of welcome, thanked Durban on behalf of the thousands of servicemen and servicewomen who had passed through during the war, for the happy memories the Durban people had implanted. .
