FIVE MISSING FROM ABANDONED SHIP
LONDON, March 20. Five persons; including the owner, William Cecil-Lower, and his wife, are feared to be missing from the 454-ton ship Famagusta, a converted landing-craft, which was abandoned in a storm off Corunna, north-west Spain, yesterday. The Famagusta, which had a complement of 16, was bound for the Aegean, where the owner proposed to start a cargo service between the islands. The Empire Plom, which picked up an SOS from the S amagusta, rescued 11 survivors.
