CRICKET M.C.C. v. Victoria Country Team
MELBOURNE, February 12. The match between the M.C.C. team and a Victorian country districts team at Ballarat was left drawn. In the first innings the M.C.C. team scored 288, giving it a lead of 20 runs on the first innings. The Victorian country team had lost five wickets for 70 runs at stumps. For the M.C.C. team the principal scorers were T. G. Evans 82, P. A. Gibb 69, and D. C. S. Compton 61. The captain, W. R. Hammond, did not bat because of an attack of fibrositis..
