Early Move For Wages Increase

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The amendment to the Economic Stabilisation Regulations to prepare the way for the Federation of Labour application to the Arbitration Court for a general wage increase is being prepared at once and, as soon as it has been gazetted, the federation will file its application for a hearing. It iS expected that the application will be heard by the Arbitration Court as early as next month, depending only on the time the Federation of Labour and the New Zealand Employers' Federation want to prepare their cases.
