BRITISH LIGHTHOUSES FOR EXPORT.—New lighthouses and lighthouse equipment are badly needed all over the world and orders are being received in Britain in quantifies. Orders are being executed for Jugoslavia, Finland, Norway, China, India and the Netherlands East Indies. The ravages of war years have made the complete replacement of many lighthouses a necessity. This almost complete lens-panel, photographed in a Birmingham factory, is not, however, being made for export, It is for Longstone lighthouse, of Grace Darling fame.
