Ministerial. The Minister o£ Agriculture (Mr. Cullen), who has been visiting the Buller district, left to-day on his return to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Malone returned yesterday from Christchurch. Mr. J. Tagelagi arrived yesterday from Christchurch. Mr. J. Hinton, V.C., who has been visiting Kumara, left yesterday on his return to Auckland. The Rev. Fathers M. Shore, of Otahuhu, and T. Guinane, of Dannevirke, who have been visiting the West Coast, left this morning on their return. Mrs. E. Parfitt, of Greymouth, who is a patient at Hanmer Springs Hospital, was last evening granted further leave of absence by the Grey Hospital Board. The 120 delegates to the New Zealand Master Grocers’ Federation conference at Gisborne were welcomed by the Mayor (Mr. N. H. Bull) and Mr. D. W. Coleman, M.P., at the opening ceremony yesterday afternoon. The delegates elected Mr. John Railton (Christchurch) president, and Mr. I. R. Wilson (Auckland) vicepresident. Mr. R. M. Barker was reappointed secretary.—(P.A.) Delegates to the annual conference of the New Zealand Master Plumbers’ Federation were welcomed to Nelson by Mr. A. R. Tuffnell, president of the Nelson Master Plumbers’ Association, and Mr. E. R. Neale, M.P., Mayor of Nelson. There are 35 delegates representing Auckland, Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Wairarapa, Wellington, Canterbury, South Canterbury, Invercargill, Nelson, Dunedin, and Hutt Valley. The president of the federation is Mr. A. J. Jamieson, of Christchurch.—(P.A.)
