The Moscow newspaper Pravda to-day claimed that Britain and the United States have already received a larger sum in reparations from Germany than the total Russian reparation demands of £250,000,000. Pravda added that it is increasingly clear that the reparations policy of the Anglo-Saxon Powers is aimed at securing economic key positions in Western Germany and placing her in permanent dependence on British and American monopolies. In Berlin, General Clay characterised Pravda’s allegation as “too ridiculous to be worthy of comment.”
