OBITUARY Mr. Harry Marsden
The death occurred last evening of Mr. Harry Marsden, a well-known resident of Blackball. He was born in Yorkshire, England, 81 years ago. Mr. Marsden spent most of his life in Blackball, having arrived there 50 years ago. He had followed the occupation of mining. He left no relatives in New Zealand, being survived by one sister, Miss Harriet Marsden, Newcastle-on-Tyne, England. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Waro 173. Mr. Evans Hargreaves The death occurred at Greymouth on Saturday, after a brief illness, of Mr. Evans Henderson Hargreaves, aged 86. He was born in Nelson and was a farmer in the Murchison district for a number of years. Mr. Hargreaves is survived by four daughters? Mesdames V. L. Holmes (Dobson), A. A. Haycock (Morrinsville), J. Minty (Hastings), and J. Taylor (Christchurch), and five sons, Thomas (Auckland), Frank (Glenroy), Thomas (Christchurch), Walter (Christchurch), and Robert (Waipawa). There are also a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren The funeral took place at Karoro Cemetery this afternoon, the Rev, T. G. Campbell conducting the services. Mr. John Martini . The death occurred at Hokitika yesterday of Mr. Mohn Frederick Martini, aged 69, who resided at Goldsborough for many years. He served in the First World War and was wounded overseas. He is survived by a sister, Miss A. Martini (Wellington) and a brother, Philip (Goldsborough). Miss Marion Cumming The death occurred at Hokitika yesterday of Miss Marion Cumming, of Kanieri, aged 73. She is survived by four sisters, Mesdames R. Harcourt (Christchurch), T. Staines (Hokitika), R. Beck (Westport), and Miss J. Cumming (Kanieri), and two brothers, William (Kanieri). and G. M. Cumring (Western Australia).
