COMMERCIAL INCREASE IN LAMB SCHEDULE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 8. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises that the lamb schedule in the South Island will be increased by one-eighth of a penny per pound as from Monday, February 10. The increase is accounted for by the increased wool growth. PRICES AT "COLOMBO TEA SALES COLOMBO, February 5. World linseed oil production in 1946 has been estimated by the United States Department of Agriculture at 141,800,000 bushels, 7 per cent, more than for 1945, and 4 per cent, more than the 1935-39 average. High prices, the department states, are expected to encourage large linseed plantings this year, compared with the averages of the period 194446.
