Illegal Grain Sales In Australia
(Rec. 12.10 p.m.) CANBERRA, Feb. 8. The Price Commissioner (Mr. McCarthy) stated there was a huge black market in grain. More than 500,000 bushels of grain sorghum had changed hands last year. He was unable to say what it brought on the black The grain, he said, had been brought from Queensland to be sold on .the black market in other Special prices inspectors had beaun a drive to trace the black marketing of grain at all stages.
