SWIMMING Young Australian Again Wins
(Rec. 2 p.m.) ADELAIDE, February 5. John Marshall, aged 16, of Victoria, again displayed brilliance when he defeated the United States Pacific coast swimming champion, Fred Taioli, to win the 440 yards freestyle championship of Australia. He outpaced Taioli in Sydney earlier this season. ' ' ,,,<a l? Ralph Wright (U.S.A.) lowered his own Australian time by 4secs in winning the 330 yards medley championship in 4min 6.4 secs. Delegates to the Amateur Swimming Union of Australia favoui' the sending of a team of 10 swimmers and a water nob team ’to the Olympic Games in London next year.
