RATIFICATION BY DOMINION FAVOURED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. The following letter has been sent to the Prime Minister (Mr. P. Fraser) by the secretary of the Associated Chambers oi Commeice m New Zealand: — “The matter of the Bretton Y oods agreement has been under consideration for some considerable time by my association and its constituent chambers. We have gone fully into the case, and at a meeting of the executive last week a resolution was carried in favour of New Zealand becoming a party to the agreement in common with the 34 other nations which have ratified the agreement as far as their own. countries are concerned. “We consequently urge that the Government should promote siich legislation as is necessary and bring it "before the House of Representatives for confirmation of New Zealand’s participation in the Bretton Woods agreement.”
