A WOMAN’S DEATH

STRUCK BY RAKE OF TRUCKS (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 5. When she was knocked down by a rake of trucks near the No. 3 wharf at Lyttelton last evening, a married woman received injuries from which she later died. She was: Stella Byers, 100 Hanson lane, Upper Riccarton. The accident occurred about 7.10 p.m. Mrs Byers was crossing the railway line when she was struck by the rake of trucks, and a yan passed completely over her, severing one leg and almost severing the other. She also suffered arm injuries.
