THE WEATHER Forecast : Fair and Warm
The following weather - forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon to-day:— Situation: Anti-cyclones are centred east and west of the North Island; a weak cold front is passing in the south. Forecast to 5 p.m. to-morrow! Moderate variable winds, southwesterly predominating; som; scattered showers in South Westland, but the weather otherwise fair and warm. Further outlook: Similar conditions. LOCAL RECORDINGS. 9 a.m.—Barometer, 30.24 inches (1024 millibars): thermometer, 61; wind, east (light breeze); sky, overcast; bar, moderate swell; rainfall, nil. (The total rainfall to date tiis year is 5.90 inches.) The depth on the bar at high water yesterday vas 25ft.
