New Knights of the Garter. • It is officially announced that the King has appointed seven new Knights of the Garter. They are Viscounts Addison, Cranborne, Alanbrooke, Mountbatten, Portal of Hungerford, Alexander of Tunis, and Montgomery of Alamein. An announcement from Downing Street states the appointments have been made under procedure similar to that used for awards of the Order of Merit, namely, they are awarded by the King without formal submission by the Prime Minister or other Ministers of the Crown.—London, Dec. 3.

Bilious Folk NEED RECOURSE TO DR. MORSE’S INDIAN ROOT PILLS Biliousness is undoubtedly one of the most distressing complains that affects human beings. It is usually the result of over-indulgence in food and perhaps drink, or the wrong type of food'. The sufferer becomes depressed and feels as though his whole system is upset. A frightfully dizzy headache, yellow skin, coated tongue and probably vomiting are the principal symptoms. As a corrective Dr Morse’s Indian Root Pills are an ideal medicine. They act on the Liver and Stomach, and thus regulate the Bowels. - The best plan is to take a dose before retiring when an attack is approaching, or better still, if subject to Biliousness, take a dose at regular intervals to keep the system in good order.—Advt. , , W.
