The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon to-day: — Situation: An anti-cyclone over New Zealand is slowly intensifying and moving eastwards. Forecast to 5 p.m. to-morrow! Moderate winds from an easterly quarter; weather fair at fiirst, but scattered rain developing from Westport northwards to-morrow afternoon; temperatures rather cool. Further outlook: Fair. LOCAL RECORDINGS. g a.m.—Barometer, 30.081 inches (1018.7 millibars); thermometer, 47; wind, east-north-east (moderate breeze); sky, overcast; river, normal; bar, moderate sea; rainfall, 0.01 inches. (The total rainfall to date this year is 97.13 inches.) The depth on the bar at high water this morning was 23ft Gin.
