OPERA HOUSE —Finally to-night: “The Strange Affairs of Uncle Harry.” Commencing .to-mor-row: “The Daltons Ride Again” and “Girl Rush.” Announced as one of the outstanding screen attractions, “The Daltons Ride Again” commences at the Opera House to-morrow, with Alan Curtis, Lon Chaney, Kent Taylor, Noah Beery, jun., and Martha O’Driscoll in the leading roles. The story deals with the fatal raid on Coffeyville, Kansas, in 1892, when three of the Daltons were slain. The survivor, Emmett, lived to describe the adventures which ended in the gang’s destruction. Emmett, on trial for his life, reveals the true story to his loyal sweetheart. Alan Curtis portrays the surviving bandit and Miss O’Driscoll is seen in the former role. As disclosed in the film, the notorious brothers had reformed and were battling for justice against the Kansas land-grabbers, when tricked into the ambush and their doom. Interesting highlight is a vocal solo, “I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen,” by Ruth Lee. The thrills of a Western action story and a musical' comedy are brought to the screen in “Girl Rush,” starring Wally Brown, Alan Carney, Frances Langford, and Vera Vague, and commencing at the Opera House to-morrow. When a stranded vaudeville troupe on San Francisco’s Barbary Coast joins in a gold rush and braves the terrors of a roaring mining camp, anything can happen. REGENT TH EATRE—-Finally, tonight: “Anchors AweiglT,” starring Gene Kelly, Kathryn Grayson, Frank Sinatra, and Jose Iturbi. Commencing to-morrow: “Practically Yours.” “Practically Yours” is a joyous comedy of errors, co-starring Claudette Colbert and Fred . Mac Murray. It involves- a series of hilarious incidents predicated by the nation’s greatest war hero returning to a sweetheart he didn’t even remember. The love angle is developed through a melee of almost raucous circumstances, and the whole production is mellowed with exquisite . settings, beautiful wax’drobes, and ci’isp, smait dialogue. In addition to Colbert and Mac Murray, the cast _ boasts such superioi’ featured artists as Robert Benchley, Gil Lamb, Cecil Kellaway, Isobel Randolph, Rosemary de Camp, and Tom Powers.
